Taco Crescent Ring Bake

Updated: May 10, 2022

Ingredients

  • 1lb turkey ground round or beef whichever you prefer

  • 1 package of taco seasoning mix (I use trader joes chili lime seasoning mixed with a jalapeno garlic seasoning)

  • 2 cups shredded cheese

  • 2 cans of crescent rolls

  • Shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, sliced olives

  • Sour Cream

  • Avocado

  • Fresh Cilantro

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 375°F

  2. In a medium sized nonstick skillet, cook meat until fully cooked.

  3. Add taco seasoning mix and 1/2 cup water. Or what I prefer doing is mixing Trader Joe's Chili Lime Seasoning and Mccormicks Jalapeno Garlic Seasoning.

  4. Simmer 3 to 4 minutes or until slightly thickened. In medium bowl, mix beef mixture and cheese.

  5. Unroll both cans of dough; separate into 16 triangles. On ungreased large cookie sheet, arrange triangles in ring so short sides of triangles form a 5-inch circle in center. Dough will overlap. Dough ring should look like the sun

  6. Then lightly sprinkle crescent dough with some taco seasoning.

  7. Spoon the meat mixture towards the center of the crescent ring.

  8. Bring each dough triangle up over filling, tucking dough under bottom layer of dough to secure it.

  9. Repeat around ring until entire filling is enclosed. Some filling might show a little more than others and that is perfectly fine.

  10. Sprinkle your cheese all on top before baking!! This will make it a super crispy cheesy greatness!

  11. Bake 25 to 35 minutes or until dough is golden brown and thoroughly baked. Cool 5 to 10 minutes before cutting into serving slices.

  12. Serve with your shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, sliced olives, sliced avocado, sour cream, and cilantro as seen in picture. It is super yummy to combine each slice of the taco ring with all these fresh ingredients!

  13. ENJOY!
